Answer a few plain questions about your money — what comes in, what goes out, what you owe and what you're aiming for. This planner turns your answers into a month-by-month picture, for any period from 6 months to 5 years, in any currency.
Nothing here is advice. It's your arithmetic, shown clearly. You stay the decision-maker.
Your numbers stay on this phone. They are never sent to us, and there is no account.
What we can and can't see
Everything you type — what you earn, owe, spend and save — is worked out inside this page on your own device, and saved only there. It is never sent to us and we have no way to read it.
If you opened this from our website, then like any website ours knows that someone visited. It never knows what you typed. We don't use analytics and we don't track you.
If you opened this as a downloaded file, not even that happens — it works with no internet at all.
The one time anything leaves is if you choose to send us a summary from the plan page. You see every word first, it carries no amounts, and it goes from your own email app.
How your plan is kept, and how it can be lost
Your plan is kept on this device, in this browser. That has a cost: it is only here.
It will not appear on another phone or computer, even if you sign in to the same things there.
Clearing your browser data, or using private browsing, deletes it. So does changing phone, unless you carry it over yourself.
So keep a backup. Tap Back up at the top, then send the file to yourself — WhatsApp, email, wherever you'll find it. Open my backup brings it back on any device.
One caution: the backup is a plain file with your numbers in it. Anyone who opens it can read them. Keep it somewhere private.
Earnd LMI Money Planner is an educational calculator. It shows the outcome of the numbers you type — it does not provide financial, investment, credit, tax or legal advice, does not recommend products, and makes no promises about the future. For decisions about your money, you may wish to speak with a licensed professional in your country.
1 · The basics
The currency is just a label — type KES, USD, NGN, INR, £, anything. The math is the same everywhere in the world.
2 · Money coming in
Income jumps around? (reselling, commissions, freelance, hustles) — put the amount you're confident of in a normal low month, so the plan never leans on luck. When a good month lands, log the extra under "Money in" on the This Month page — the plan treats it as bonus fuel on top.

3 · Money going out
Walk the whole list — fill an amount only where you actually spend. Rename anything.
Already holding money for a cost? Enter it and the cost draws on that first.
School fees you've banked, this year's cover already put by — open timing & money set aside on that line and enter what you're holding. The cost draws on it first and only charges the month for whatever it doesn't reach, until it runs out. It's for money you actually have, not money you intend to save.
You can type sums.3000+2000 becomes 5,000 when you tap away.
Works in every amount box in this planner — 45000/2 to split a cost, 12000*3 for three of something, brackets if you need them. Commas and spaces are ignored, so 1,200 + 800 is fine.
How often, starts, ends. Leave them alone unless a cost isn't simply monthly.
Most costs are "Every month", but gas might be every 3 months, insurance once a year, a purchase "one time only" — the amount is what you pay each time. Starts / Ends are already set to "from the start" and "ongoing"; change them only if a cost begins later or stops, like school fees that start in May, or a loan that finishes.

4 · Money you pay yourself
Regular amounts you keep — pension, investments, funds. If a pot is building toward something on your goal list in step 6, give it the same name there and you can enter what that balance grows at.
Saving here toward a goal? Link the two on step 6 and they count as one.
On step 6, pick this pot under Fed by which pot? on the matching goal. Every payment into the pot then counts toward that goal — never charged twice, never listed twice. Without the link the planner treats them as two separate things, which is sometimes what you want.
Only know the total and the date? Fill those and leave the amount blank.
Put the figure in Total needed and the month in Paying until. Your plan's answer works out what that date asks for each month, and puts a button there to drop the figure straight in.

5 · What you owe
One card per debt. Give either the required payment and how often you pay it, or how many months are left — the planner works out a monthly figure and charges interest the way each lender does.
6 · What you're aiming for
Your list, in your order — after required debt payments, spare money flows into the top goal first, then down the list. Use the arrows to reorder.
Need it by a certain date? Pick a month under Needed by.
"Laptop, 90,000, needed by June 2027". Your plan's answer then tells you what that date asks of you each month, whether your numbers reach it, and the date they actually do reach on today's figures. Leave Needed by alone for anything with no deadline.
Already paying into a pot for this? Pick it under Fed by which pot?
The two then become one thing: those payments count toward this target instead of being money spent elsewhere. Leave it on Nothing and this goal is fed only by whatever your months have spare, in the order of this list.
Buying something with a deposit? Make the deposit the goal, not the price.
"House deposit, 1,000,000, needed by March 2028" — not the price of the house. Then enter the loan in step 5 with its first payment date set just after that. The two halves line up: this page saves the lump, that page starts the repayments once you have it.
Does it earn interest? Put the yearly % under Grows at — a figure you supply, not one this page suggests.
The plan then works out what the balance earns as it waits — month by month, on what is already there, before each new payment goes in. Leave it blank or at 0 for money that doesn't grow, like cash at home. This page has no idea what any account, fund or product actually pays, doesn't check the number, and isn't suggesting one — it only does the arithmetic on what you type. Real rates change, and most are not guaranteed.
The advertised rate is rarely what you get. Open tax & charges on the goal.
Behind it you can say how often the interest is actually added — money that compounds once a year earns less than the same rate added monthly — and what gets deducted: tax on the interest (withholding tax comes off before it reaches you), and yearly charges on the balance (management or admin fees, plus any excise duty on those fees — add them into one percentage). Your plan then shows what the headline rate actually works out at. Every one of these figures comes from you: read them off your own statement, because they differ by provider and they change.

All you do here is three things. 1 · Type what came in, what you spent, or what you put away — in the box just below. 2 · The list ticks itself off as you go, and flags anything that ran over its line. 3 · Come back whenever. Nothing else on this page needs touching.
Log a money movement
When a pot or fund pays interest, log it as Put away to that pot — it counts toward the goal, so goals finish sooner than the plan drew.

Your plan's answer
Nothing here is stored anywhere. Your answers live in this page only, and close with it — that is what keeps them private. To come back to this plan later, tap Save at the top of the screen, or use the Save your answers card at the bottom of this page. You'll get a small file that loads straight back in on any device.

The things you gave a date
What each date asks of you every month, next to what your own numbers reach.
Nothing on this card changes your plan until you tap a button, and anything you tap can be changed back in step 4 or step 6.
What a month is made of
Every line that lands in one month, in order. It opens on your tightest month — the one with least room — but you can look at any month.
What the numbers show
Not advice — arithmetic. Each line below is a "what if" run through the same engine, so you can see the size of a change before deciding anything. Essentials are never touched: rent and housing, water, gas, electricity, transport and fuel, internet and phone, school fees, health cover, and every required debt payment stay exactly as you entered them.

Put the dates in your calendar
Downloads a calendar file your phone already understands. Open it and every month of this plan lands in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook — a reminder on the day you move money, and one for each goal date and each debt you clear. Nothing connects to anything; it's a file, like the last one.
Leave that unticked unless you want to. A calendar usually syncs to Google or Apple, so anything written into it leaves your phone — which is the one thing the rest of this page never does. Unticked, your reminders name the pot and the goal and say how far along you should be, with no figures at all.
Keeping your plan
Your answers save to this phone as you go, so you can close this and come back. Download a backup now and then — that is the copy that survives a lost phone.
Numbers change — pay changes, a cost ends, a goal moves. Come back, change any answer, and the whole picture re-draws.
Where is this saved? On this phone, in this browser, and nowhere else.
It can't be opened from another phone or computer — the backup file is how you move it. Clearing your browser's data deletes it. On an iPhone, Safari clears a page's data if you haven't opened it for a while; adding this page to your home screen stops that. If you share your phone, anyone who can unlock it can open this, so keep a backup and delete it here when you're done.
